Day 99
Well we are camping outside the caves tonight. We should be meeting up with the people we helped escape from the temple tomorrow to take on the powerful mage. I am pleased to say almost everyone is prepared for the battle to come. Everyone is calm and an aura of confident that we will defeat the mage exists. The only person I have concerns with is Tupper. He seems to be a bit skittish and lacking that hunger to become a better warrior. O well, some people have the warrior spirit in them others do not. I only hope that one day his fighter spirit can make it’s way to the surface.
Day 100
Today I almost achieved the ultimate death. Alcander and I where put in charge of battle the mage to distract him while the others destroyed the gem. The fight went very fast, the mage was able to cast lightning spells that felt like it was tearing me apart from the inside. What made the battle so quick was due to Arcadius. He demonstrated how skillful of a warrior he is by leaping and destroying the gem with a single blow, which made the mage panic and teleport out. Unfortunately breaking the gem release a fire spell which nearly killed me. If it where not for my comrades I would not have made it. Truly the gift of healing that their gods have given them is a powerful tool.
Even though we where not able to destroy the mage it will have to wait. It seems we have more pressing issues in the north. So north we go.
