Journal of Fflam

Day... 92, I think.

I am beginning to wonder about my companions. When first we set out, we were all, for the most part, alike in goals, thoughts, and methods. In the past 3 months, many have left, a few have joined us, one has died, and I believe one betrayed us. Many of the newcomers are so different than what I am used to, I find it hard to trust them.

The newest, Jacob, is perhaps the most worrying. He seems to wield significant power, and does so recklessly. Just because he's not actually evil doesn't mean he can't be dishonorable, dishonest, or at the least uncaring and egotistical.

The singer, Stutchka (or however that's spelled), seems harmless so far, and I suppose I'm no longer the shortest among these humans and elves. Not sure how useful she is, though she keeps us inspired in combat, which never hurts.

Tupper is an odd sort. He seems more afraid of doors themselves than what may be hiding behind them. He apparently can be useful in combat, getting behind the enemy without their awareness, but the problem is that once he's noticed, he's down and bleeding after little more than a stern glance.

Oda is a fine warrior, and I consider it a blessing to battle alongside him. Perhaps a little lacking in social skills, but at least he hasn't gotten himself committed...

I even wonder about some of those that have been there since we left Point of Origin. Arcadius seems to wield more divine magic than paladins much more experienced than he. Perhaps the people of his homeland know something we do not? In any case, I have no reason not to trust him, and he has proven himself many times in combat.

Alcander is... seeming more and more dangerous. Since returning from his journey home, he is even more reckless than before. I can only hope he continues to direct his fervor at our enemies...

Soon, we will meet up with those we rescued from the temple to cleanse it of what evil remains, though I wish I didn't feel as if I had to watch both my enemies and my allies...
