Journal of Arcadius - Day 93
Praise to Pelor!
I was this past night honored by a vision from Lord Pelor himself! Never would I have imagined that this should come to pass. Let me prove worthy, let me not fail and fall from this high calling!
His words, as I remember them, were:
"You know now that dark evil sets upon the land, from the west, and soon it will spread. These forces are ancient, even by the standards of gods. All is not lost, and with prudence you can turn back the tide."
"You have recently found yourself in alliance with a Fey-cursed warlock. He has a core decency, but lacks your sense of honor, or indeed respect for any law. Be wary of this, yet I believe that he, and his powers, will be of use to your group in the days to come."
"To ensure so, I am placing a minor geas upon him. He is not yet aware of it, but my eye is on this one for he has powers that your group needs. Yet, we cannot have him behaving in a manner that would jeopardize your mission or your honor by his association."
"Let my light help show you the way."
Truly honored am I. Glad I am, beyond all words, that Lord Pelor himself is intervening to be certain that this Jacob can be trusted, for I have had many misgivings about him and his ultimate intent. Pelor's words are heartening, for he takes direct interest in the events of these dire times! May it be so for the other gods worshipped by my companions. I hope they prove as true!
Another matter, that I found most interesting, was that Stzutchka appeared in this vision beside me. Glorious music preceded the words of Pelor, and she hearkened to it. I knew that her small form carried a great and worthy heart! I have spoken to her of this matter, and invited her to open her heart and mind further to Pelor. As is his way, I will not press her forcefully on this matter... she must decide with her own conscience if her path will continue to be lit by the light of Pelor.
There is more, but I will come to it in my next entry.
