I am not sure if it is Arcadius or xxx, but all of a sudden our group started using tactics. I even convinced them to use formations, which worked well. Let me start from the beginning. We went deeper in the ocean to go rescue Steinbjorn’s wife. We went deeper and deeper until we found a bubble. The bubble was an alarm but it also drained the life out of me when I passed through it. I do not think I ever felt to weak, but there was no turning back.
Not long after the bubble we came across a caster, a controlled sea elf. It did not take us long to get past him, but the damage was done. Most of our time sensitive ability and spells were lost. The mage put up a stone wall preventing us from entering the temple and put the monk into a magic cage. It took some time to break our way through. After tearing down the wall we proceeded into the temple, without the monk. It was not long unit we ran into some more guards. This is when we formed a shield wall because the guard started throwing spears at us.
After some time the monk made his way in and started to follow us, apparently under mind control. I wonder if it is a dwarf thing. Perhaps dwarfs are not strong willed because Flam fell under mind control as well. It was at this point we meet up with Steinbjorn’s wife and we got into more of a direct fight with the guard and the monk. I was amazed Tupper showed that he knows how to fight and was using his head. He used a net to detain the monk. After fighting for a while we continued deeper into the temp. This is when we came across the aboleth. Arcadius showed what a have the favor of the gods can do when fighting evil. I have not seen many people that are able to deal out so much damage in such a short time. Pelor is a great god.
Now we must wait for the affect of the aboleth to wear off and then we will have to deal with our good friends who sent us out here in the first place.
